J. Crew Collection Italian Wool Mockneck Top

Hi Everyone!

The J. Crew Collection Italian Wool Mockneck Top is one of my recent/favorite wardrobe additions. This top is so classic, versatile, and fun:

Here is a quick review--Fit/Details:  This top is really amazing.  The quality is superb and so is the fit.  I took my normal size 12.  The fabric is structured without being too tight or too thick.  And, this beauty is versatile.  The top looks great with jeans.  It would also look great with suiting pants.

I'm wearing the J. Crew Silk Boy Shirt in Heart Throb underneath this top, but the J. Crew Collection Silk Top with Stitching in the "Shell Pink" color would work well, too.

J. Crew Teddie Pant in Mirrored Floral

Hi Everyone!

The J. Crew Teddie Pant in Mirrored Floral caught my eye as soon as these beauties appeared on the website.  I was super excited to get these pants yesterday.  I love a great fitting pant with a cute print.  And, finding great fitting pants or jeans has not always been easy for me.

Here are IRL pictures of these gorgeous pants:

Fit/Details:  I sized up *one* size in these pants.  The material is a heavy (but not too heavy) cotton that does not have much "give" or stretch.  The pants are great quality and the fit is superb.  The cropped leg is so well done that is extremely flattering even on my curvy figure/bottom.  I think that the cropped fit on these pants definitely requires wearing a heel. Wearing flats would have made me look dowdy.  I highly recommend these beauties!  And, the floral pattern is so versatile that multiple colors will work well with this print.  I paired these pants with the J. Crew Dulci Suede Kitten Heels in "Vivid Jade" to pull out the green color.

J. Crew Midi Sweater Skirt

Hi Everyone!

So, I am a huge fan of midi skirts.  Initially, I was super nervous that the midi length would not work for me, but I was SO wrong.  The length is actually ideal on me!

Here is a quick picture of the J. Crew Midi Sweater Skirt in "Neon Watermelon":

Fit/Details:  I took my normal size 14 in this skirt, so the fit is TTS.  This skirt is seriously fabulous (it gets 5-stars on the website). There is an elastic waistband that helps to hide the lumps and the bumps.  And, the weight of the skirt is ideal.  It's not too heavy or too thin, but just right.  The Merino Wool material is not prone to snagging in my opinion.  I highly recommend this beauty.  I love how well this skirt pairs with the J. Crew Denim Jacket in Tyler Wash and the J. Crew Striped Tissue Turtleneck T-Shirt.

J. Crew Chateau Trench Coat

Hi Everyone!

The recently released J. Crew Chateau Trench Coat was at the top of my must-have list!  This coat is one of the many reasons why I love J. Crew.  The fit, the quality, the design = SUPERB.

Here are IRL pictures of the trench:

And, here is a picture of the inside lining.  The gingham detail is super striking.  It's a great feature:

Fit/Details:  I took my normal size 12 in this trench, so it fits TTS.  There are two reviews on the J. Crew website that indicate this trench fits slightly smaller than the J. Crew Chateau Parka in Stadium-Cloth.  I did not notice the trench fitting smaller.  Both of these pieces fit similar in the arms for me.  But, that could be because I am wearing a thinner shirt underneath the trench, the J. Crew Perfect Shirt in Crinkle Gingham.  Unlike the wool version of this coat/trench, this version does not have a detachable hood.  And, the trench does flare out slightly at the bottom, but it does so in a flattering way.  The material is the perfect weight--not too light, not too heavy.  This is a great piece.  I highly recommend it.

And, here is the Pinterest image that sold me on this beauty:

Finally, here is a picture of the shoes that model is wearing, the J. Crew Sloan Plaid d'Orsay Flats with Bow:

I took my normal size 9 in these shoes.  Fit is TTS.  The shoes are super comfortable right out of the box.  And, this trench also looks great with the J. Crew Sloan d'Orsay Flats in Batik Floral:

These shoes fit TTS as well.

J. Crew Front-Slit Skirt in Deco Floral and Sleeveless Silk Popover in Deco Floral

Hi Everyone!

The J. Crew Deco Floral print is absolutely stunning in my opinion.  I am a huge fan of this print.  I have reviews of both the J. Crew Front-Slit Skirt in Deco Floral and Sleeveless Silk Popover in Deco Floral to share today.

The skirt:

Fit/details:  I took my normal size 14 in this skirt, so it's TTS.  The material is substantial weight without being too heavy to wear during the summer.  This is actually a great spring/summer staple. And, the slit in the front is modest--it is not too high.  The colors are absolutely stunning.  I have said it before, but I will say it again, J. Crew does colors and patterns better than any other retailer in my opinion.

The Popover:

Fit:  I took my normal size 12 in this blouse.  So, the fit is TTS.  The blouse is great quality and the fit is superb.  The armholes fit perfectly--there is no gaping at all.   This pattern looks great with the J. Crew Denim Jacket in Tyler Wash.  And, the pattern also looks fantastic with white jeans.

J. Crew Marlo Crossbody Bag

Hi Everyone!

I am constantly looking for a compact, yet stylish and versatile bag that works well for travel and for moving around a college campus.  So, I was super excited to receive the J. Crew Marlo Crossbody Bag.  The bag is great quality and it comes in four fun colors (minty green, black, natural vachetta, and neon orange):

Here is one way that I plan to style the "neon orange" color of this gorgeous bag:

The Marlo Crossbody Bag is a great bag to use while traveling.  I don't like searching for things while I am moving through an airport or getting out of a cab/uber.  This bag is compact, so it makes it easy to find things without digging around.  Although the bag is compact, it is big enough to carry my travel essentials including my passport, my prescription sunglasses, my cell phone, and my credit cards:

I highly recommend this beautiful, well-constructed, and fun bag!  I am really looking forward to using these beauties for an upcoming trip!  And, this bag will be a lifesaver when I am on campus moving from my office to meetings/the classroom.  I can find things easily without spending time searching for my keys or for my phone.

Outfit Details:

Bag | J. Crew Marlo Crossbody Bag-- c/o J. Crew
Boots | super old Banana Republic; similar--J. Crew Field Boots
